​Unable to Launch Cognos TM1 Perspectives via Microsoft?
From time to time, Microsoft updates may cause an error and not allow you to use TM1 Perspectives. This could make you unable to launch Cognos TM1 Perspectives via Microsoft?If you encounter this, please follow the instructions below:

Environment
Windows 7 and Excel 2007
Resolving the problem:
Unregister and re-register the mscomctl.ocx file
Depending on your machine, run from the Start Menu: Start > Run
For 64 bit machines, enter:
regsvr32 /u C:WindowsSysWOW64mscomctl.ocx
regsvr32 C:WindowsSysWOW64mscomctl.ocx
For 32 bit machines, enter:
regsvr32 /u C:WindowsSystem32mscomctl.ocx
regsvr32 C:WindowsSystem32mscomctl.ocx
